shoka is a Northern California-based photographer and artist. She currently contributes to the Sacramento News & Review and was a staff photographer for the Noise Pop independent music festival from 2002 to 2009. Her images have been published in various fine art and poetry publications, and also was a contributor to DIW Magazine, and is a current contributor to Spin magazine. She has exhibited in numerous galleries and art spaces in San Francisco and Sacramento.
